Prithvi Shaw and David Warner came to open for Delhi Capitals. David Warner, however, could not survive in the crease for long, he got out by scoring only 10 runs. But after that, a great partnership of 88 runs was made by Prithvi Shaw and Abishek Porel. Prithvi Shaw was playing brilliantly. Jasprit Bumrah broke this partnership in the 12th over. He dismissed Prithvi Shaw on a great ball. Prithvi Shaw scored 66 runs in 40 balls. He hit 8 fours and 3 sixes.
Abishek Porel was also dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah. He got out on the last ball of the 15th over scoring 41 off 31 balls. 91 runs were required to win in the last 5 overs. But after that no other batter except Tristan Stubbs was successful. Tristan Stubbs was trying his best. He remained unbeaten on 71 off 25 balls. He hit 3 fours and 7 sixes.
