The second match of this year’s IPL was between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capital. The match was held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. Punjab Kings won the toss and elected to bowl.
Delhi Capitals Innings:
Delhi Capital’s two Australian openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh started the innings brilliantly. At the end of the first 3 overs, the run was 33 for no loss.
Mitchell Marsh hit a huge SIX off the first ball of Arshdeep Singh in the 4th over. But in the second ball of this over, he got out while driving to the offside. Rahul Chahar took the catch very well.

Punjab Kings Innings:
Dhawan and Bairstow opened the batting for Punjab Kings with a target of 175 runs. Both Dhawan and Bairstow hit 2 boundaries each in the first over. Punjab Kings scored 17 runs in the first over by Khaleel Ahmed and at the end of the first three overs, Punjab Kings’ score was 34 for no loss.
But in the 4th over, the two openers of Punjab Kings got out, Ishant Sharma bowled out Dhawan in the first ball of the fourth over. and on the fifth ball of this over, Bairstow got run out somewhat unluckily.
After that, Sam Curran and Prabhsimran formed a good partnership. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Prabhsimran in the second ball of the tenth over. Sam Curran and Prabhsimran made a partnership of 42 runs. At the end of the 10th over, Punjab Kings were 87 with the loss of 3 wickets.
