Two devastating openers – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma came to open for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Abhishek Sharma was bowled out by Mitchell Starc in the first over of the innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their second wicket in the second over. Travis Head was dismissed by Vaibhav Arora and caught by Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost another wicket in the powerplay. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine came to open for Kolkata Knight Riders. Sunil Narine was dismissed in the second over by Pat Cummins. After that, Venkatesh Iyer came to bat. He played an amazing innings in this match. From the moment he came into bat, he played aggressive shots. On the other side, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was giving him worthy company. At the end of 6 overs of powerplay, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 72 runs for 1 wicket. This is the highest score in IPL Finals in Powerplay.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer put on a 45-ball partnership of 91 runs. They were batting in the same aggressive way even after the powerplay was ended. Their partnership took Kolkata Knight Riders very close to victory. Shahbaz Ahmed broke this partnership in the ninth over. He dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 39 runs off 32 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. In the last ball of the 10th over, Venkatesh Iyer made a fifty off just 24 balls. At the end of 10 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 111 runs for 2 wickets.
Venkatesh Iyer scored an unbeaten 52 off 26 balls and hit 4 fours and 3 sixes. Kolkata Knight Riders reached victory after scoring 114 for 2wickets in just 10.3 overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders won the final match by 8 wickets with 57 balls left in the innings. This is the biggest victory in the history of IPL Playoffs. After 2012 and 2014, Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 3 times in 2024.
Player Of The Match:
Mitchell Starc was selected as the Player Of The Match. Earlier, he was selected as the Player Of The Match in Qualifier 1.
Player Of The Series:
And Sunil Narine was selected Player Of The Series or Most Valuable Player. He was also Most Valuable Player in 2012 and 2018. Now he is the most valuable player in IPL for 3 times.
